Light magnesium oxide is used in ceramics, enamels, refractory crucibles, refractory bricks, etc. It is also used as polishing agent, adhesive, paint and papermaking filler, and accelerator and activator of chloroprene rubber. It is used medicinally as an antacid, laxative, for hyperacidity and duodenal ulcers, and is also used in industries such as glass dyes, phenolics, and plastics. 2.
