Dar Makka El-Mokarama for Printing & Publishing founded in 1979 by Mr. Mohamed Agamy, who has acquired a vast amount of experience in the printing industry over the 40 year period. He still occupies his position as the Chairman of Dar Makka to the present day. Dar Makka inaugurated its business in 1979 through a five-employee team, depending on Technical department. Four years later, in 1983 the first printing machine was introduced. By 1986, Dar Makka was producing work on three machines of Russian engine to be later replaced by high quality machines of German manufacturer on 1994. By the start of the third millennium, Dar Makka witnessed a comprehensive growth at all levels of operation including expansion to 9000 m2 printing house with a work force of 165 qualified and Experienced staff. Dar Makka, always wanting to keep pace with technology' star then to replace their Miller sheet fed offset machines with the more up to date and more productive Heidelberg offset machines and now have annual production capacity of 5 million books and 600 million folding boxes. In 2010, Dar Makka obtained official authorization to print its first edition of Holly Quran on pure Egyptian calligraphy.
